Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine which spotlights highly anticipated upcoming releases.

This week I’m waiting on:

Book: Till Death

Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout

Release Date:  February 28, 2017

In New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout’s gripping new novel, a young woman comes home to reclaim her life—even as a murderer plots to end it. . .

It’s been ten years since Sasha Keaton left her West Virginia hometown . . . since she escaped the twisted serial killer known as the Groom. Returning to help run her family inn means being whole again, except for one missing piece. The piece that falls into place when Sasha’s threatened—and FBI agent Cole Landis vows to protect her the way he couldn’t a decade ago.

First one woman disappears; then another, and all the while, disturbing calling cards are left for the sole survivor of the Groom’s reign of terror. Cole’s never forgiven himself for not being there when Sasha was taken, but he intends to make up for it now . . . because under the quirky sexiness Cole first fell for is a steely strength that only makes him love Sasha more.

But someone is watching. Waiting. And Sasha’s first mistake could be her last.

I ADORE all books Jennifer L Amentrout! Can't wait for this one!

Review of The Sway by Ruby Knight

Her mission is to get close to him for inside information.

His mission is to kidnap her for a supernatural militant group.

Recruited in her teens for a life of espionage, Julia Caldwell, now 19, is the youngest CIA agent on record. Her mission is simple: get close to Cole Thomas for intel on his father, a known and dangerous weapons dealer. As she grows closer to Cole, something is off. He might not be who she thinks he is. And worse, his mission will put an end to hers.

Always believing the government’s story that her purpose in life was to keep the world safe, Julia doesn’t know who to trust or who to believe. But now, THE SWAY has a different story—a different purpose for her—that goes well beyond all she ever imagined.

Review:
Ruby Knight never fails to entertain me. This is the third book I've read by her, and I loved it just as much as the other two. This author has a real talent for creating complex characters, intriguing plots, and romance with just the right amount of tension.
I read this book in two nights. The idea for this story was great. It was the perfect blend of spy-suspense, paranormal surprises, compelling romance, and conspiracies.
I'm already looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book! The Sway gets five glittery stars!

This week I’m waiting on:

Book: Lifeblood (An Everlife Novel)

Author:  Gena Showalter

Release Date: February 28, 2017

My Firstlife is over, but my Everlife is only now beginning.

With her last living breath, Tenley "Ten" Lockwood made her choice and picked her realm in the Everlife. Now, as the war between Troika and Myriad rages, she must face the consequences.

Because Ten possesses a rare supernatural ability to absorb and share light, the Powers That Be have the highest expectations for her future—and the enemy wants her neutralized. Fighting to save her Secondlife, she must learn about her realm from the ground up while launching her first mission: convincing a select group of humans to join her side before they die. No pressure, right?

But Ten's competition is Killian, the boy she can't forget—the one who gave up everything for her happiness. He has only one shot at redemption: beating Ten at a game she's never even played. As their throw-downs heat up, so do their undeniable feelings, and soon, Ten will have to make another choice. Love…or victory.

I enjoyed the first book well enough to give this one a try. We will see! What are you waiting on this week?

Tell the Wind and Fire by Sarah Rees Brennan
Description:
In a city divided between opulent luxury in the Light and fierce privations in the Dark, a determined young woman survives by guarding her secrets.

Lucie Manette was born in the Dark half of the city, but careful manipulations won her a home in the Light, celebrity status, and a rich, loving boyfriend. Now she just wants to keep her head down, but her boyfriend has a dark secret of his own—one involving an apparent stranger who is destitute and despised. Lucie alone knows the young men’s deadly connection, and even as the knowledge leads her to make a grave mistake, she can trust no one with the truth.

Blood and secrets alike spill out when revolution erupts. With both halves of the city burning, and mercy nowhere to be found, can Lucie save either boy—or herself?

Celebrated author Sarah Rees Brennan weaves a magical tale of romance and revolution, love and loss.

Review:
"Celebrated author Sarah Rees Brennan weaves a magical tale of romance and revolution, love and loss."

That is the last line in the description, and very accurate for this book. I was pleasantly surprised by this dystopian ya romance. The concept the author used to world build a land of magic and secrets, was brilliant.
I've read my share of the popular category of ya dystopian. This was one of those books that stands out. I liked that the characters were flawed, good, bad, and mostly, redeemable.
I'm looking forward to see what happens in the next installment! Four glittery stars!
