Waiting on Wednesday- The Devil to Pay

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine which spotlights highly anticipated upcoming releases.

This author is quickly becoming one of my favorite Reverse Harem authors! She may be new to you, but you might recognize her by Kelly Oram, a fabulous YA author! This is a new companion series to her super popular Nora Jacobs series.

This week I’m waiting on:
When it comes to talented new recruits at the Federal Underworld Agency, Nora Jacobs is only half the story…
The Devil to Pay is the first book in Jackie May’s companion series to Nora Jacobs, set in the same urban fantasy Detroit, sharing several supporting characters (hello, Nick Gorgeous), but with a new main character, Shayne Davies. This series can be enjoyed on its own, but readers of the Nora Jacobs books will be more familiar with the world and its characters.
As a fox shifter, Shayne Davies gets no respect in an underworld run by the fearsome and powerful—werewolves and vampires, sorcerers, demons, and mythical faerie creatures. Even at home, Shayne is still treated like the brat of the pack. Her mom constantly nags; her intended (but unwanted) mate ensures plenty of awkward silences, and Shayne is even expected to act submissive to the pack’s future alpha…a six year old.
Yeah. Time for Plan B.
All Shayne wants is to prove that she’s got what it takes to run with the big dogs, which is why she is constantly hounding Nick Gorgeous to make her an agent at the “Double D”, the Detroit Division of the FUA. That’s an easy “No” for Gorgeous, who keeps a strict “No Shayne Davies” policy. Well, never say never. When mysterious underworld criminals steal a load of bomb materials, the FUA picks up a messy case nobody wants to touch. It’s bad enough that a demon horde is involved, but now the annoying FBI has sent out an agent to babysit the investigation. To make matters worse, the notoriously uncooperative master vampire Henry Stadther has control over what may be the only key to breaking the case: a handsome human detective.
The whole thing’s a hopeless disaster.
So guess what, Shayne? You’re hired!

Releases September 18th exclusively on Kindle Unlimited!

Series Review: The Silver Moon Series

BOOK 1: Temptation of the Wolf
There was always something a little off about Luna’s brother and something even weirder about his older friend, Chase. Sent away to boarding school whilst she was still young, Luna returns home when her parents are killed in an unfortunate car accident.
It wasn’t until she bumps into the devilishly handsome Chase those certain weird things which happened in her childhood start making sense. However, Chase proves to be both dangerous and formidable in all areas and has now taken an interest in her despite his oath never to get involved with a human woman.
Within a short time of arriving back in her hometown it is clear that her parents’ deaths were no accident. With the police not interested, Luna turns to her brother and Chase for help.
Despite his fangs and claws and Chase’s reluctance to fall in love with a human, Luna finds herself falling for the werewolf as they are being hunted by an ancient foe, searching for an ancient artefact Luna’s family have guarded for centuries.
Will Luna find it within herself to fall to the temptation of the wolf or will she settle for the safety of normality?
Review:
Looooved this! It was surprisingly engrossing and I couldn't put it down. I love shifters and there was a lot of promise for the first installment of this series. It had a good plot, sexy romance, lots of supernatural characters, and I find myself ready for the sequel asap! It's a bit of a wait but it's description sounds good! Five glittery stars!
BOOK 2: Temptation of the Dhampir
Temptation has never looked so good, but it comes in many forms …
It’s been a few months since Luna arrived back in America. Since then she’s discovered her parents were murdered, her brother is now the alpha of the local werewolf pack, she’s been dumped by her boyfriend, defeated an evil Fae who wanted to take over the world using the werewolves and slept with Chase, her brother’s best friend and second-in-command.
The desire Chase kindles within her can’t be denied but Luna is desperately trying to, especially now since a new threat lurks over everyone’s heads. An evil that threatens to tear their lives apart, with Luna right at the very centre of all the chaos.
Oh, and then Luna’s ex-boyfriend turns up on her doorstep determined to win her back.
Review:
Enjoyable
I am really enjoying this trilogy. It's an easy read and hard to put down. I can't wait to see how the love triangle sorts itself out. Chase or Pierre? I'm rooting for Chase! Full of all those supernatural creatures that go bump in the night, the story is sure to intrigue many lovers or paranormal romance. Five glittery stars!
BOOK 3: Temptation of the Moon
Where temptation leads, trouble awaits ...
Out in the darkness someone is waiting for the perfect time to attack Luna and her werewolf brother. Mercenaries have failed to kidnap her previously, but she knows it’s only a matter of time before they make their move again. If they want to destroy the world, then they need her.
In the meantime, Luna is learning how to defend herself. She may be human but she’s not going down without a fight. Between her brother Michael, dark and sexy Chase, and the angelic-looking Pierre, she should be able to hold her own. After all, she’s already helped to fight off Fae, ghosts, and werewolves. What’s one more? That’s if she can stop drooling over Chase and Pierre and concentrate on honing her fighting skills.
But Luna is about to discover that there’s something far deadlier than all these supernatural beings combined.
Review:
I am loving this series! Luna has just enough spunk to keep you empathetic toward her. She has an annoyingly overprotective Alpha brother and I enjoyed their bickering and unconditional love. Then, there are Pierre and Chase. I liked them both but had my favorite. They were well fleshed out and I wished I was there to drool over them lol. I’m very happy with the ending and can’t wait for book four. Five glittery stars!
