I picked this book up for several reasons. One, it was free on Amazon and two, it had a cute cover. I am a sucker for contemporary romance stories and this one looked like the perfect read for me.
I liked the idea of a bridesmaid lotto. It was an original concept in a usually unoriginal market. However, the story fell flat. I wished I could have said it rocked, but it was missing something.
The character development was great for Mattie and I loved his part. Calla was very one dimensional as well as was Jake. He should have had more oomph. The mother was great though and I enjoyed how uptight she was.
Overall, I still thought it was worth the free read. It was interesting enough and even though it was predictable, I wanted to follow through with the story.
