Coming this winter!
Soul of Asimina is the third book in the Land of Kaldalangra series, written by Kristi Strong.
Sabina de Nespa was content living in the shadow of her heroic parents, traveling the realm and aiding the less fortunate. As the child of royalty, she kept her intentions pure and her heart guarded, always aware that the crown may one day rest upon her brow.
When two strangers fall into her world, life as she knows it spirals out of control, and shakes her to the core. One brings with him an enemy that destroyed entire cultures in his old world, and the second is filled with hidden intentions and dangerous secrets.
It has been two years since the reign of the tyrannical King Verikhan has ended, and the realm of Kaldalangra flourishes.
Darian grinned darkly then, and the expression was so natural that Sabina felt a hot tear roll down her cheek. “Allow me to bring justice, Lord Rafael, and serve as your champion.”
Rafael gave Darian a cold look. “Yes, that would be acceptable. Josef, name your proxy.”
Josef began to speak but was immediately silenced by Alcine’s hand upon his shoulder. Alcine gave a dangerous, feral smile as his eyes fell upon Darian, and Sabina was now certain this was no longer going by the plan.
“I shall stand for my brother. Darian, you disappoint me. I had thought a man of your character would not have thrown his dice in with this lot. We healed you, welcome you into our family, and this is how you repay the kindness?”
Darian’s eyes were dark as he nodded toward Sabina. “I already received my every desire from the Dauphine in the dark of the night. Now, I throw in my lot with those who can ensure that I can have her at any time.”
Sabina was shocked into silence and she felt as if she had been cut open and beaten once more. She began to open her mouth to deny Darian’s words when Lasarre cleared his throat and drew the attention of the room.
“Lord Rafael, Lord Cademar, might I make a suggestion?”
Both men tipped their heads to Lasarre.
“It would seem to me that Darian’s loyalties may be questionable. After all, he did arrive to court in the presence of the royal party, have his way with the Dauphine, and then become sympathetic to our cause.” His lips rose into a dangerous smile as he focused on Darian. “It would not be a stretch, then, to assume that at some point this man will once again change allegiance. Who is to say, that he will not do so in a fight with Alcine?”
“You insult me, Lasarre. I thought we were comrades in this endeavor.” Darian’s voice was smooth and emotionless, though one eyebrow raised in surprise.
“At times, we are. But I am probably also correct about your fickle sense of loyalty. In any case, it is clear that many in this audience would not be pleased if Lord Alcine were killed during this contest, which is a likely possibility against a man of your double-tongued nature.”
Cademar again stroked his chin with his thumb and forefinger. “And what would you suggest as an alternative?”
“A simple solution. I shall go against Darian. The winner gets to choose the heir of the realm and walk among its people, free of retribution from those who do not appreciate his choice, for the winner will speak the words directly from the spirits.”
“And the loser?” inquired a member of the crowd.
“Oh, them?” Lasarre grinned as he rolled up his shirt-sleeves, displaying his myriad of black spirals and the sunburst of the Oprimata. His shrewd eyes watched for Darian’s reaction, of which there was none. “The loser will be very, very dead.”
Rhea Aralia lived an uneventful life in Virginia, until the fateful night of her kidnapping. Taken to a strange realm of destruction, despair, and mysterious people with dark secrets, the young woman must learn a new way of life to survive.

Nyssa has taken her place as Queen of the realm, with her secret love, Sebast, now openly at her side. She rules with a fair hand, striving for justice and prosperity for all of her people.
Rowan and Rhea travel the realm, spreading peace and healing wherever they go. In Kylassame, they have formed a strong bond with friends and spread deep roots in the community.
The people of Kaldalangra are joyful, and life in their
world is better than ever before.
But a string of tragedies has the ability to bring Rhea to her knees, and with her, the entire realm. While Rowan struggles to recover the village of Kylassame from a devastating crime, Rhea’s faith in her own strength weakens, with dire consequences.
