We have brown hair. Brown eyes. Fair skin. We are healthy and strong and smart. But only one of us has ever had a secret.
Dahlia 16 sees her face in every crowd. She’s nothing special—just one of five thousand girls created from a single genome to work for the greater good of the city.
Meeting Trigger 17 changes everything. He thinks she’s interesting. Beautiful. Unique. Which means he must be flawed. When Dahlia can’t stop thinking about him—when she can't resist looking for him, even though that means breaking the rules—she realizes she’s flawed, too. But if she’s flawed, then so are all her identicals. And any genome found to be flawed will be recalled.
Destroyed.
Getting caught with Trigger would seal not only Dahlia’s fate, but that of all five thousand girls who share her face. But what if Trigger is right? What if Dahlia is different?
Suddenly the girl who always follows the rules is breaking them, one by one by one…

Brave New Girl by Rachel Vincent
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Not my favorite book by Rachel Vincent, but has promise. After reading 100 hours, this book was a bit of a let down. However, it could be the start of a great new young adult series.
Dahlia was a very curious clone. Add a hot guy in the mix and lots of secrets, you get Brave New Girl. However, the twists at the very end really had me wanting more! So I will be continuing the series and give it four glittery stars!

Review: More than a Werewolf
More than a Werewolf by Sara Summers
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I'm full of mixed emotions about how to write this review. It had good and bad things I felt. So I will start with the good.
The author did a great job writing the story. She clearly spent time on the plot and the book was well edited. Sara Summers certainly has skills as a writer.
The characters- Leah was so stubborn and prideful. She wanted to be independent and stand up for her beliefs. Ty was so determined to win her over.
I did enjoy the mystery that was woven into the plot. There were a few things I didn't see coming.
I love shifters and soul mate books. I find it romantic to have someone so special that they fill the other half of your soul. That's a rare thing in the real world so just the concept is romantic.
Okay, here's the big part of the book I didn't like. The book is very feminist. I'm all for girl power and being treated well by your man. That being said, this book hammered the concept into you and hard. I'm a bit of a feminist myself, but it's an agenda here.
This is fiction and it's what the author felt compelled to write. It's a great book. There just needs to be a warning label in the description that it is a book about feminism. It's not a topic that everyone wants to read about. That's my only gripe.
Overall, I liked the characters and the story was solid. I'm giving it four glittery stars and look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Review: What a Werewolf Wants
Description:
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I've read other books by this author in the Seattle Pack series and San Francisco series, loving each book more and more. This one was no exception. I loved the way they intertwined Mitch and Carrie's love story in with Josie and Ryder's romance. It was always exciting to see what each couple would do. It had a great ending and I'm looking forward to seeing what the author will cook up next. Five glittery stars!

Review: The Four Horsemen: Legacy
Description:
What's worse than being pursued by the Four Horsemen?
Discovering you're the Fifth.
Verity Jameson's day switches from mundane to disastrous when she runs down a stranger with her car. Fortunately for Vee, she can't kill Death.
Death, who just happens to be one of the Four Horsemen, and he's looking for her.
The Four Horsemen spend life preventing the end of the world, not bringing on an apocalypse. As gatekeepers of the portals which exist between the human world and other realms, the team fight to keep the portals closed and the supernatural forces under control. Without their fifth member, the Four Horsemen are losing the battle.
Now they've found Verity and what they tell her goes far beyond the conspiracy theories Vee spends her free time investigating.
A new life with four dark, sexy and dangerous men fighting demons, vampires and fae? Not what Vee had planned, but a hell of a lot more interesting than her boring job in tech support.
The Four Horsemen: Legacy by L.J. Swallow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Different 4 horsemen story
This series has tons of potential! I really enjoyed it! As a newer RH fan, this one was great. The storyline is unique and interesting. I can't wait for the next installment! I wonder about what the intense chemistry between her and the four really means as Truth. Five glittery stars for a great start!
