Red is the color of Kia Alcott's hair.
It's her temper, which blazes hot and always gets Kia into way too much trouble.
And it's the color of fire. Fires that Kia can start…just by thinking about them.
When her latest “episode” gets her kicked out of school, Kia is shipped off to her grandmother, who works for the wealthy Blackwoods. It's an estate shrouded in secrets, surrounded by rules, and presided over by a family that is far from normal…including the gorgeous and insolent Ethan Blackwood.
Ethan knows far more about the dangers of the forest surrounding the estate than Kia can ever imagine. For this forest has teeth, and Ethan is charged with protecting the outside world from its vicious mysteries.
But inside, even the most vibrant shade of red doesn't stand a chance against the dark secrets of the Blackwood family…
Review:I loved the Drake Chronicles Series by Alyxandra Harvey. Because of my love for that series, I snapped my advanced copy of Red up right away.
Harvey didn't disappoint. Red was a creative concept with the perfect blend of supernatural, friendship, family and love.
There were several twists in the plot that kept me guessing until the end. I have to say, I was pleased with most of the events that took place as the story was tied up.
Without giving away too much of this fantastic book, I have to give kudos to the author for the start of what is sure to be another awesome series.
My only complaint is that this book was far too short. I would have liked to see more character development and more information on the supernatural side of things.
In short, I can't wait to read more of this series as it comes out. It was a great introduction to a creative world Harvey has constructed. This book gets five glittery stars for how surprisingly good it turned out to be!
