Description:
Maddox is running.
By accident, he discovered long ago that he was adopted as a baby and his need to find his biological father has consumed him ever since. Now, on a road trip, determined to find his father and his sanity, and armed with locations and his cousin, Nixon, to help him, maybe he can find the answers he’s been searching for. With nothing but a suitcase and a wad of cash to get him there, lead after lead takes him further from home.
But he’ll find much more than he intended.
He finds Storey, a pint sized pin-up model who has learned painful lessons about guys. Her wounds run deep, but so do his. She knows what she wants, but will she recognize it when it’s right in front of her?
Maddox can’t touch anyone without feeling like his skin is crawling, but just maybe his instinct to protect this amazing girl will supersede his own hang-ups.
If he can brush her skin and start to feel alive inside...everything will change.

Review:
Lila Felix is brilliant! She did some amazing stuff with this book. It's the third book in the series, yet the best one by far, in my eyes. I read it in one sitting, there were no lags in the story.
I LOVE Maddox. He was a great Black son. I liked him more than Owen and even Falcon. I don't know why, maybe it was just the way Lila wrote him, but he was awesome. Storey was a cute and original love interest and I liked that.
The storyline was interesting and I loved the whole concept behind this particular book. It held a lot of depth and meaning to me. The way she changed P.O.V.'s was actually great, not annoying like most books can be doing that. She transitioned them nice and they propelled the story along, including the characters from the first two books.
The end scene where Lila included herself as an actual character was just genius. It was original and I found it endearing. It showed some real creativity on her part.
I was happy with all the twists and turns this book had to offer. It deserves five glittery stars for a stellar new adult contemporary romance read!
